Plan Your Academic Year!
School Calendar
At EFIP, the school calendar is established each year in accordance with the guidelines of the French Ministry of National Education and the recommendations of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad). It is approved taking into account the observations and recommendations made during the regular visits of AEFE inspectors.
The school year is organised into five teaching periods, separated by four holiday breaks, and generally runs from early September to early July.
The school calendar includes the following periods:
- Start of the school year: early September
- Autumn break: approximately two weeks, from late October to early November
- End-of-year break: approximately two weeks, from late December to early January
- Winter break: two weeks, between February and March
- Spring break: two weeks, between April and May
- Summer break: from late June until the end of August
During certain school holiday periods, EFIP organises holiday camps and activities for students. For information about the programme and the dates concerned, we invite you to contact the school.
The school calendar also takes into account official public holidays.
Students attend approximately 36 weeks of classes each year, in accordance with the principles governing the organisation of the French school year.
Teaching Hours
In the French primary education system, pupils generally receive 24 hours of instruction per week.
At EFIP, the enhanced language programme, with English and Albanian lessons integrated into the weekly timetable, increases the total instructional time to 26 hours per week. This organisation enables students to benefit from an enriched multilingual education while fully meeting the requirements of the French National Education curriculum.
We encourage you to bookmark this calendar and refer to it regularly to keep track of school activities throughout the year!
